Android studio icon next to checkbox6/3/2023 If your app needs the Checkbox to be flexible and toggle between “true” and “false” you can set it up in a way that every time the checkbox is pressed the value changes to the opposite value, like in the example below: child: Row( In this case, once the value of the checkbox is set to true you can not change it back to false, as the state has been set. Once a user presses the checkbox UI element in the app, it sets the state of the boolean to true. Initially, the value of _checkbox variable is set to false. Meaning that if you want to display some identification of the field, like the text, you will need to place the Checkbox inside a Row and add the identification required like in the example below: child: Row(Īs you can see in the code snippet example above, we have a boolean called _checkbox. ![]() The reason for that is because Checkbox widget can not be a parent widget. ![]() In the code example below, the Checkbox widget is used as a child of the Row widget.
